The club's purpose is to assist students in acquiring service hours and to address the pressing issue of homelessness and poverty in the Bay Area. With over 1000 homeless individuals in the region, Poverty Patch Up serves as a great way to take action. Some activities that this club would carry out are making sandwiches to feed the homeless, raising funds, creating a better lifestyle for the people on the streets, and also helping people who may have subsidized housing and such. The nonprofit empowers orphans and the homeless with nutritional resources, education, mental health support, and employment.
