In their own words
The MSJ Sikh Honors and Service Society (SHSS), run by the Jakara Movement, empowers youth through education, leadership, seva, and social justice while strengthening Sikh identity and community. MSJ SHSS meets every Friday after school in B8, Mr. Sanchez's room, and offers weekly community service through seva at the local Fremont Gurdwara. Periodically, all regional SHSS chapters unite for fundraising events, Sikh history programs, humanitarian volunteering, and more. While SHSS is rooted in Sikh values, we happily welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Our mission is to develop the next generation of youth leaders through selfless service and core Sikh principles.
