MSJ Speech and Debate is a competitive academic club that helps students develop public speaking, critical thinking, argumentation, and communication skills. Members compete in a variety of speech and debate events at local, state, and national tournaments while building confidence and leadership abilities. The club offers weekly labs, practice rounds, workshops, mentorship from experienced members, and opportunities for beginners and advanced competitors alike. Students can participate in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum, and various Speech events.
